Maria Shriver is the former First Lady of California, Peabody Award recipient,  Executive Producer of The Alzheimer’s Project. She has received two Emmy Awards and an Academy of Television Arts & Sciences award for developing a “television show with a conscience”.   Maria Shriver founded the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about women’s increased risk for Alzheimer’s and to educating the public – women, and men – about lifestyle changes they can make to protect their brain health. The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement raise dollars to fund women-based research at leading scientific institutions to better understand this disease and to find a cure.
